A Certified Celebrant is a person who has been trained and certified to meet the needs of families during their time of loss by designing and performing a ceremony which is as unique as the person it is dedicated to.
The Celebrant will meet with the family to offer guidance while planning a meaningful funeral to honour the loved one. They will have a Family Time for sharing of stories and memories. The service can have any elements and the Celebrant has a wide library of resources including readings, music and other special ceremonies to help the family design a service that is right for them and the deceased.
Having qualified as a Celebrant with the In-sight Institute in New Jersey, USA, Declan Finnegan is capable of providing such as a service. However, the family may also request an external Celebrant if they wish.
